We
have pleasure in introducing you to Aunty Molly’s and The
Olde Bakehouse Restaurant & Function Centre in the Lake Macquarie
gateway town of Morisset. Just 50 metres from the main Dora Street
(near the Railway Bridge) and set in beautiful, tranquil surroundings
with lovely gardens and terraces for al fresco dining, this quaint,
olde world tea shoppe/restaurant is an ideal stopover when you’re
travelling north or south via Lake Macquarie or en route to the
Hunter Valley Vineyards.
Stop!
Revive! Survive! Just 90 minutes from the Sydney CBD and only 3
km from the F3 Freeway, The Olde Bakehouse is the perfect place
with Morning /afternoon tea or a delicious lunch waiting for the
weary traveller. Only 40 minutes from the Hunter Valley, 40 minutes
from Newcastle and 30 minutes from Gosford and The Entrance, we
have plenty of parking for cars or tour buses.
If
you prefer to travel by train, we are only 7 minutes walk from Morisset
Station – a major stopping place for all trains from Central
to Newcastle. The station is supported by lifts for the less mobile
or disabled patrons. The walk to The Olde Bakehouse is slightly
uphill but pathways are road surfaces are well maintained.
If
your group is en route from the south to the Hunter Valley, why
not make The Olde Bakehouse your stopover for Morning Tea (in preparation
for your wine tasting!). Full restroom, including disabled, facilities
are available.
Should
you be attending one of Aunty Molly’s entertaining Theme Day,
we have several suggestions where your group could enjoy activities
before and/or after our function. We can also recommend local Motels
if you wish to stay overnight. If your group is travelling by train,
we are able to pick a few of your guests, who may be less mobile,
with our courtesy car. |
